Tambiance (“Tambiance,” “we,” “us”) provides event staffing in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains what personal information we collect through tambiance.com, by phone and by email, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow the principles of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Tambiance is responsible for the personal information described here.
1 Information we collect

Your name, email address, the type of event, the city, the number of guests, the staff you’re interested in, and any notes you choose to add.
When you apply to join our team (careers form)
Your name, email address, phone number, the role you’re interested in, your hospitality experience, your answer to “Why Tambiance?”, an optional LinkedIn or portfolio link, and your resume.
When you call, text or email us
Your contact details and whatever you choose to tell us.
Automatically, when you visit the website
We use or may use Google Analytics and Google Ads. These tools use cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at our site (for example, from a Google ad), your approximate location (city level), your device and browser type, and whether you submitted a booking request or tapped our phone number. This information is used in aggregate. We do not use it to identify you by name. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser’s IP address is shared with Google when the page loads.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16, and our services are not directed to them.
2 Why we use it
- To respond to your booking request, prepare a staffing proposal, and plan and deliver your event.
- To review job applications and contact applicants.
- To answer your questions and keep a record of our communications.
- To understand how visitors use our website and to measure whether our advertising works, for example how many booking requests came from a Google ad.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We only use your information for these purposes, or for others we tell you about and get your consent for. We do not sell your personal information.
3 Consent
By sending a booking request, applying through our careers form, or contacting us, you consent to us using your information as described in this policy. By continuing to use the website, you consent to the analytics and advertising measurement described in section 1. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see sections 6 and 8), subject to legal or contractual limits. If you do, we may not be able to provide some services.
4 Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need:
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co): receives what you type into our booking and careers forms and delivers it to our email inbox.
- Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Fonts): website analytics and advertising measurement.
- Vercel: hosts our website.
- Our email provider: stores and delivers our business email.
For an event, we may share the details needed (such as event location, timing and on-site contact) with the staff members assigned to it.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
5 Storage outside Canada
Some of our service providers (including Google, FormSubmit and Vercel) may store or process information in the United States or other countries. While it is there, it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of those countries under their laws.
6 Cookies and your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work.
- You can control Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com (My Ad Center).
- You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
7 How long we keep it and how we protect it
- Booking requests and client records: up to 7 years, to meet tax and accounting requirements.
- Booking requests that don’t go ahead: up to 2 years.
- Job applications: up to 1 year, unless you are hired.
- Website analytics data: kept according to our Google Analytics retention setting (14 months).
We protect personal information with reasonable safeguards for its sensitivity, including password-protected accounts, limited access, and reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a privacy breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.
8 Your rights
You can ask us:
- what personal information we hold about you, and how we have used and shared it;
- to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- to stop using or delete your information, where the law allows.
Contact us using the details below. We’ll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
If you’re not satisfied with how we handle your concern, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.
